The Albanese government has been accused of backing out of its promise to review the definition of small business after Workplace Relations Minister Murray Watt flatly refused to exempt more small to medium firms from unfair dismissal laws.
Mr Watt told ABC on Monday the government would not increase the scope of the Fair Work Act's definition of small business from 15 to 25 employees, which allows those employers to be subject to different considerations under workplace law.
