Wabtec Corporation Exceeds Q3 Earnings Forecasts, Stock Slightly Up
In Pittsburgh today WAB Corporation reported earnings for the quarter that exceeded what analysts had predicted and this resulted in a small increase of 0·03 per cent in its stock price, in the early hours of trading.
The company that makes rail equipment announced that their adjusted earnings per share were $ 3 more than the expected $4. They brought in $6 billion, in revenue for the quarter which fell short of the projected $7 billion.
The companys positive performance in the Freight sector led to a 2..06 billion increase in sales year over year reaching $1..93 billion while the Transit segment also experienced growth with sales up by 9..06 million to $733 million; resulting in an overall 9..04 percent increase in total sales for Wabtec, from the previous years quarter.
