More than 25 flights receive bomb threats Friday - OrissaPOST
On Friday in New Delhi and Mumbai there were reports that than 25 flights, from both domestic and international airlines received bomb threats.
A representative from Indigo stated on Friday that there were security alerts, on seven flights with one of them being flight 6E 87 heading from Kozhikode to Dammam.
According to insiders accounts there were reports of threats made against 7 flights from Indigo Vistara, and SpiceJet each well as 6 flights, from Air India also experiencing similar threats..
Indigo faced security concerns during six flights; 6E 2099 from Udaipur to Delhi 6E 11 from Delhi to Istanbul 6E 58 from Jeddah to Mumbai 6E 17 from Mumbai to Istanbul 6E 108 from Hyderabad to Chandigar and lastly IE133 heading from Pune, to Jodhpur also received alerts.
The airlines representative mentioned that Flight 6 bound from Udaipur to Delhi faced a bomb threat incident leading to the plane being redirected to a designated area, for security procedures before takeoff where all safety protocols were followed and all passengers were safely removed from the aircraft.
During the 12 days Indian airlines encountered more, than 275 flight threats mostly originating from various social media platforms.
Authorities have asked Meta and X social media platforms to share details about bomb threats against airlines as they work to identify those, behind these incidents.
