EAM Jaishankar meets with heads of delegations at BRICS Summit Outreach
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar participated in a photo session, alongside delegation leaders at the 16th BRICS Summit held in Kazan,Russia on October 24th.
Jaishankar engaged in discussions with the leaders of nations during the BRICS Summit Outreach session, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center.
Jaishankar recently posted photos on X with the caption "Preparing for the BRICS Outreach session in Kazan." The day before that event Jaishankar held talks with the Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugio while attending the BRICS Summit, in Kazan.
Jaishankar shared his joy during the gathering. Praised Sugions recent appointment, as Foreign Minister on October 20th.
Jaishankar also had a meeting with Malaysian Economy Minister Rafiziramli in Kazan to talk about the steps following recent discussions, between the Prime Ministers of India and Malaysia.
Jaishankar joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the BRICS Summit in Kazan hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss important global matters with leaders, from BRICS member nations.
During the summit discussions PM Modi had one on one meetings with leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping, among others.
The leaders of BRICS engaged in conversations covering topics such as enhancing international cooperation and unity; combating terrorism; promoting economic prosperity; advancing sustainable development; and addressing the issues faced by developing countries around the world with a focus on the Southern Hemisphere. They also expressed their appreciation for the addition of 13 partner countries, to the BRICS alliance.
The Prime Minister spoke at two sessions of the BRICS Summit where he emphasized that the current global landscape is marked by uncertainties and challenges such as conflicts and environmental issues while also highlighting the importance of BRICS, in addressing these pressing issues.
PM Modi landed in Russia on Tuesday marking his trip to the country within a span of three months after his attendance at the annual summit between the two nations, in April as reported by ANI.
