Dilip Kumars notice of concern over this incident has prompted him to announce the start of a safety campaign, throughout the railway network.
Railway signal operators have been directed to carry out inspections to ensure the proper functioning of latch gears and other signal components. A comprehensive report is anticipated within a week after implementing measures to improve the efficiency and performance of the signaling systems, in different regions.
