The postal service has officially stated that over 100 branches, in the United Kingdom may shut down jeopardizing thousands of jobs.

Chairman Nigel Railton revealed on Wednesday morning that the group plans to increase postmaster salaries by £250 million over a span of five years.

The Post Office announced its plan to sell off 115 branches that it owns directly from its network of 11 500 branches.

These branches might be shifted to partners or postmasters or even closed down eventually.
