WhatsApp bringing a new mute feature for group chat notifications - Huawei Central

WhatsApp is updating the " feature" for group chat notifications to make it more user friendly than ever before! Rather, than muting a group chat altogether like before users can now choose specific alerts they want to quiet down.

Chatting in a group is a way to chat with friends and family all, at once! However sometimes receiving many messages can get overwhelming.

The company has recently added a feature that allows users to mute group chats for a period of time; nonetheless there is a possibility of missing important updates after activating the "Notifications Mute."

To address this problem effectively and improve user experience, on WhatsApps platform the app will introduce a revamped function specifically for group chat notifications.The new feature will prompt users to select their preferred notification preferences.Users will have the flexibility to choose from a variety of options.

If you opt for the option on the app settings menu you will receive alerts for any mentions or replies in your conversations as well as other direct engagements. This function also allows you to customize the notifications in group chats based on what's most important, to you.

The latest mute function is great for interacting with groups ! Lately in the updates of the application prompts users when being referenced in a group which may cause confusion for those muting chats for the first time. But with the recent feature enhancement it now provides clear guidance, on how muting notifications will operate for users.
