Flights to Indonesia's Bali resume following volcanic eruption

Several airlines have restarted their flights to Bali in Indonesia on November 14th following the cancellation of trips to and from the resort island due to significant volcanic eruptions, in the vicinity.

Ahmad Syaugii Shahab, the General Manager of Balis Ngurah Rai airport announced that a total of eighty three flights were called off on November 13 due, to the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki, which released a massive 9km column of ash into the atmosphere.

At 3am on November 14th in Balis airport records showed an additional 32 international flights were canceled according to Ahmads report; He mentioned that volcanic ash from Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki had been drifting away, from the airport since the evening of November 13th.

He was optimistic that the impacted airline travelers would be able to continue their journeys starting on November 14th.

Qantas Group from Australia has officially announced the resumption of flights to Bali for both Qantas and Jetstar airlines citing conditions, in the region.

The volcano has exploded than twelve times in the past couple of weeks and tragically claimed the lives of at least nine individuals while necessitating the evacuation of thousands of people.

The volcano erupted more during the night and into the morning of November 14th. A dense ash column and streams of lava were visible flowing from its crater, in Indonesias Ce.
