Western nations hold the view that Russia has endured higher casualties compared to Ukraine in certain instances where over 1 000 soldiers are reported to have been killed per day in intense conflicts, in the eastern region. However despite having one third of Russias population Ukraine is expected to encounter more serious manpower deficiencies stemming from prolonged battles.
