Notre-Dame Reopens in Paris After Restoration

The recently restored Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris has finally opened its doors again after the 2019 fire. The grand reopening ceremony was attended by world leaders such as French President Emmanuel Macron, U. S. President-elect Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Georgian President Salome Zourabichvili, and billionaire Elon Musk.

Global Leaders Celebrate Reopening of Notre-Dame

Among other things, Macron stressed on the unity and the spirit that went into restoring the cathedral and thanked everyone who had donated, fought the fire and restored the cathedral. The cathedral was also lit up with the word “Merci” which means thank you in French to everyone who was involved. More than 340,000 people from across the globe contributed towards the restoration.
