The struggles at Wyoming continue for the Nevada men's basketball team,.

Wyoming won a back-and-forth game and beat Nevada, 66-63 on Saturday in Laramie, Wyo,.

Kobe Sanders and Nick Davidson each had 15 points as the Wolf Pack dropped to 0-2 in Mountain West Conference games, 8-5 overall. Justin McBride added 11 pojnts as he got his first start for the Wolf Pack.

The Wolf Pack hosts Utah State at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Ogbi Agbim hit a 3-pointer with 1 minute, 10 seconds remaining to give the Cowboys a 64-63 lead. Davidson missed on a 3-point attempt with 14.5 seconds remaining.

There were 23 lead changes in the game. Wyoming's biggest lead was eight, 19-11 at the 8:19 mark in the first half. The Cowboys led, 26-24 at the half.

Agbim led Wyoming with 18 points and

Touko Tainamo added 15 points as the Cowboys improved to 8-5 overall, 1-1 in conference.

The teams were close in most statistical categories, but the Cowboys hit more shots from deep, knocking down 11-of-21 from the arc, while the Pack hit 5-of-11.

Wyoming hit 22-45 field goals to 21-of-47 for the Pack.

The Cowboys bench was also big, accounting for 30 points, while Nevada got 12 from its bench.

Nevada hit 16-of-20 free throws while Wyoming was 11-of-12 from the line. Nevada had 16 turnovers, to 19 for Wyoming.

Wyoming had a 26-25 edge on the boards.

Nevada has not won at Wyoming since Feb. 2020 and has lost six straight there. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 22-10 with Nevada with the first meeting in 1938. The Cowboys hold a 14-5 lead in the series in Laramie.

Up Next

Utah State plays Nevada at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Lawlor Events Center. The Aggies (11-1) played at San Diego State later on Saturday.

Before Saturday, Utah State was 4-0 away from home this year.

Utah State sophomore guard Mason Falslev leads the Aggies in points (17.3), rebounds (6.5) and steals (2.2) per game, and is one of two players in the country this season averaging at least 17 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals per game.

Utah State ranks No. 29 in the most recent NET rankings and are the highest ranked team in the Mountain West.
