This year's Geotab Connect was special. The company celebrated its 25th anniversary this year with a flurry of product launches, underlining its market-leading position in automotive telematics.

As the annual conference of one of the world's leading automotive telematics providers, Geotab Connect attracts telematics and fleet management professionals from far and wide (pictured: CEO Neil Cawse, addressing the conference).

Geotab telematics monitors 4.7 million connected vehicles around the world. The company turns billions of data points into actionable insights for fleet operatives. Its secure, open-platform technology allows it to scale both its own solutions, and to collaborate with other parties.

In just 25 years, the Canada-based company has turned itself into an indispensable player in the automotive telematics space. That's why the 3,500 participants at this year's event, from 25 to 27 February in Orlando, Florida were treated to a flurry of product launches - most prominently Geotab Vitality, but also Driver Risk Insights, EV Charge Monitoring, and the Sustainability Center - underlining both Geotab's market-leading position, and the power of its collaborative approach.

Geotab has formed a joint venture with behavioral change platform Vitality Global. Called Geotab Vitality, the venture will focus on improving driver safety and well-being, reducing risk, and supporting better road safety.

Fleets get access to Vitality's toolkit for incentivizing and rewarding driver excellence. The platform's first product offering integrates Geotab's AI-powered predictive collision risk analytics.

The platform's data-driven insights allow drivers earn to progress points and generate personalized weekly driving goals. Incentives earned can be redeemed for products in a 'Rewards Mall'. This nudge-based model for behaviour change offers fleets a pathway to lower risks and costs.

By incentivizing positive behaviour, Geotab Vitality reverses the fleet industry's traditional model of penalizing poor driving - and trials are already evidencing its benefits.

Geotab will integrate Geotab Vitality into Geotab Drive and the Geotab Safety Center later this year.

An AI-powered enhancement within the Geotab Safety Center, Driver Risk Insights provides fleet managers with better visibility of individual driver risk factors. By shifting focus from vehicle-specific data to driver-specific analysis, the new tool helps fleets - especially those with shared vehicles - to assess and predict collision risk at the driver level rather than the vehicle level.

Geotab is expanding its connected vehicle platform with a Sustainability Center, and EV Charge Monitoring. Both initiatives underline Geotab's efforts to work towards fleets that are both more sustainable, and more efficient in terms of energy cost.

Geotab designed the Sustainability Center (pictured below) to fill the data gap, providing management a go-to hub for cost control, compliance, and operations. It complements the existing Safety Center and Maintenance Center in MyGeotab.

The new center's streamlined dashboard helps companies maximize fuel savings, reduce CO2 emissions, and simplify compliance. Key features:

"Even small changes like monitoring idling can have a big impact on operations", says Megan Allen, Senior Group Product Manager at Geotab.

For its part, EV Charge Monitoring allows fleets to identify and resolve charging issues early, maximizing uptime and saving cost. Features include:

Both the Geotab Sustainability Center and EV Charge Monitoring are integrated in MyGeotab, trusted by organizations in both the public and private sector for end-to-end telematics data security.
