Databricks and Anthropic Team Up to Deliver AI Models to Companies

Databricks, a top data and AI firm, joined forces with Anthropic, an AI research company, in a five-year deal announced Thursday. This partnership integrates Anthropic’s cutting-edge Claude 3.7 Sonnet model into Databricks’ data intelligence platform, available on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. The goal? To empower over 10,000 businesses to craft and launch AI agents using their own data.
The collaboration lets companies tap Claude 3.7 Sonnet directly within Databricks, enhancing their ability to analyze enterprise data, streamline complex tasks, and sharpen decision-making. “With data intelligence in high demand, partnering with Anthropic lets businesses harness their data’s full potential via AI,” said Databricks co-founder and CEO Ali Ghodsi. “We’re delivering Anthropic’s models securely and efficiently at scale.”
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei added, “AI is reshaping businesses now, not later. Claude on Databricks equips customers to build smarter, data-driven agents to lead in this AI era.”
The partnership prioritizes responsible AI, offering governance tools to manage usage, enforce security, and track risks. Databricks’ Unity Catalogue ensures data privacy and ethical practices. Jackie Brosamer, VP of Data and AI at Block, praised the setup: “Our Databricks partnership lets us leverage Claude and other advanced models to fuel our internal AI agent.”
