Evervan Kothari's Bold Step in Tamil Nadu Footwear Industry | Business

Evervan Kothari Footwear Ltd, a subsidiary of the Phoenix Kothari Group, has announced a massive investment in Tamil Nadu with plans to establish a non-leather footwear manufacturing plant. The proposed Rs 5,000 crore project aims to generate 50,000 jobs, significantly impacting the region's employment and economy.
The announcement was formalized through exchanged documents between Evervan Kothari Footwear's Executive Chairman Rafeeq Ahmed and Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau MD & CEO Tarez Ahmed. The event was held in the presence of Chief Minister M K Stalin, Industries Minister TRB Rajaa, and Chief Secretary N Muruganandam at the Secretariat.
This strategic move aligns with the department of industries' goals, focusing on attracting large-scale investments and enhancing job opportunities, particularly for women, in backward districts such as Karur and Perambalur. The project promises to uplift individual income levels and contribute to the economic prosperity of the state.
