Man dies after being hit by vehicle near bus stop in Northwest Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) -- One person is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Wednesday afternoon near a bus stop in Northwest Oklahoma City.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers were made aware by an EMBARK employee just before 3:45 p.m. Wednesday that a man was lying on the ground close to a bus stop near Hefner Road and Western Avenue.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are searching for the driver. There is no vehicle information at this time.

The scene is under further investigation.
