X formerly known as Twitter has experienced recurring technical issues since Elon Musk acquired the platform in 2022 while implementing changes to its infrastructure and moderation policies. The company has not provided any official statement about the reason behind the current outage or the number of users who experienced disruptions.
The social network faces another platform instability issue while working to achieve platform stability and win back advertisers. The acquisition has led Musk to reduce engineering and operations staff which has created concerns about service reliability and security.
The outage currently affects only users in the United States but the full scope and length of the disruption remain unknown. The platform has experienced various technical issues which include short outages and complete system failures that have caused user discontent while drawing attention to X's minimal operational structure.
