Ofgem's Glasgow staff to stage walk out as part of pay dispute

Workers at energy regulator Ofgem are to stage a week of strike action in an escalating dispute over pay, jobs and conditions.

The Public and Commercial Services union said its members based in Ofgem's London, Glasgow and Cardiff offices will walk out from September 29 to October 3.

The union said members have previously taken strike action, adding that almost 150 staff have joined the PCS since the first action was announced.

PCS general secretary Fran Heathcote said: "This strike action will mark a significant escalation by Ofgem members. Their determination has seen impressive picket lines organised across the UK and over 100 new members join the branch."
