Soulmates Ventures boosts sustainable innovation with a new €50 million fund.

Soulmates Ventures, a Prague-based accelerator and venture capital firm, has today announced a €50 million fund for sustainable innovation. The firm is expanding its funding for startups by making initial investments of up to €3 million per company and follow-on funding of up to €5 million per company. Under Article 9 of the SFDR, Soulmates Ventures supports scalable startups that solve environmental and social issues. The firm's hands-on acceleration program provides strategic leadership to help startups navigate market growth. "Our purpose is to help fast-growing, sustainability-focused companies achieve their next level of success," says Hynek Sochor, Founder and Managing Partner. "When we see a ‘rocket’ – great people with a great product – we give them the boost to take them to the next level, help them navigate through challenges, and increase their effect. We are, therefore, changing the way that we can tackle the different challenges in order to have a better planet and society." Sochor launched Soulmates Ventures in 2020 with the goal of supporting innovative startups with a long-term sustainable vision. eAgronom, Kardi AI, Twinzo, Flowpay, Signapse AI, Fusebox, Ogre AI, Madmonq, Youni and Twin Science have received its first investment since 2021, and the firm has made 17 company investments across 26 investments across Europe. It focuses on eight critical areas: air, water, energy, mobility, circular economy, food and agriculture, education, and healthcare. From this new fund, Soulmates Ventures is moving forward with what has worked for the company by increasing the initial investment amount from seed stage to up to €3 million and follow-on support up to €5 million through Series A. "This fund, which is in line with Article 9 of the SFDR, is designed to reflect our sustainability theme," explains Sochor. "We have integrated ESG performance from day one, and our startups are designed to demonstrate how they are causing change while meeting the highest levels of sustainability standards that your investors expect." In addition to capital, the firm provides a three-tier acceleration program to connect founders with in-house and external mentors and industry experts. This support provides help in brand development, marketing, finance, operations, sustainability, and market entry to help the startups grow faster. To founders who are tackling some of the biggest challenges facing the world, Soulmates Ventures gives not only funding but also a strong platform for growth and guidance.
