Russian Ukraine Conflict Update. Are Korean Troops Engaged in the Conflict Already?

Over the weekend U.S Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin mentioned that the United States anticipates a number of North Korean soldiers to participate in combat operations against Ukraine in the near future. Additionally Ukraines General Staff has confirmed that Korean troops are currently involved in clashes, with Ukrainian defense forces.

The Defense Secretary stated that 10.000 North Korean troops are believed to be based in the border area of Kurskin Russia. They are said to be "joining units" at present.

Reports Confirm North Korean Soldiers Deployed to Russia's Kursk Region

"After considering their training and integration into units " Austin informed journalists while visiting Fiji on Monday,"I anticipate their involvement in combat operations, in the near term."

South Korea and Ukraine Voice Concerns Over North Korea’s Role

South Korea also mentioned that Korean troops, in the Kursk region of Russia are currently involved in combat operations and have finished their deployment to the battlefield by November 13th as well reported by Kyiv that Moscow gathered around 50 thousand soldiers to push back Ukrainian forces following the sudden invasion.

According to a report from FT (Financial Times) there are Yemeni mercenaries joining forces with the Russian army in Ukraine as well. The report states that journalists spoke with recruits who were offered appealing job opportunities and attractive salaries along, with the possibility of acquiring citizenship.
