NBA Makes LeBron James Admission After Lakers-Thunder
The Los Angeles Lakers lost their game on the 15th of February, 2019, against the Oklahoma City Thunder with a score of 101-93. This was the Lakers’ fourth loss in the last five games which took their record for the season to 11-8.
The Lakers’ superstar LeBron James wasn’t in his best form in this loss, he played 28 minutes and produced 12 points, 5 from the field, and had 5 turnovers. Davis, the other star of the Lakers, also played below his average of 22. 5 points per game to record 15 points in the game that lasted 38 minutes.
This loss ensured that the Lakers were tied with six other teams for the sixth position in the Western Conference standings.
On their game on Saturday, the NBA said that there was one missed call in the final two minutes of this game. Based on the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report, LeBron James got away with an offensive foul with 1:26 left.
“James (LAL) extends his right foot forward and makes contact with Wallace’s (OKC) foot thus blocking him from screening,” the NBA conceded.
This was the only mistake identified in the Last Two Minute Report and it was made on a key play. The Oklahoma City Thunder were leading the Lakers at this point, by a score of 95-91 and James would go on to miss a three pointer which would have brought the LA Lakers within one point.
The Lakers are now in the middle of a four-game road trip which will begin on Sunday against the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are currently 14th in the standings with a 4-14 record, which is a perfect chance for the Lakers to get a much needed win.
