Murder mystery dining experience coming to Shenago Valley
HERMITAGE, Ohio (WKBN) -- A unique dining experience will be coming to the area in the new year.
Crime & Dine Mysteries will create an interactive murder mystery dinner. The experience will be on March 29 at the Buhl Park Casino.
The show is called "The Dead Man's Compass," and food will be provided by the Haitian Sensation.
Before the show goes on, Crime & Dine is looking for local talent 16 years and older to be in the show. Auditions will take place at Kennedy Catholic High School from 6 to 8 p.m. on Jan. 8 and 15. The audition will be a cold read.
Co-directors Ian Elliot and Erica Burnworth say they wanted to bring a new experience to the Shenango Valley.
"I attended my first murder mystery dinner theater experience in Kingsport, Tennessee. Since that time, my friend -- who wrote and directed that show, has started his own company in Tennessee, and we are really excited to bring that to our local area where we both grew up," Burnworth said.
"We've never actually had any sort of interactive murder mystery that I knew of performed anywhere in the Shenango Valley," Elliot said.
As the project progresses, information will be available via their Facebook. Anyone with questions is encouraged to contact Burnworth at 724-418-4123.
