Residents of 54 villages in eight districts of Dagestan were left without electricity due to accidents; power grid repairs will only begin in the morning.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" reported, residents of various settlements in Dagestan, including Makhachkala and Kaspiysk, have repeatedly complained about frequent power outages. In the summer, power outages also led to interruptions in water supply. Regular power outages paralyze the work of the Central District Hospital outpatient clinic in Untsukulsky District, medical workers said at the end of August.

Power outages on the evening of September 11 affected villages in eight districts of Dagestan, 54 settlements were left without power, the TASS news agency reported with reference to the republican Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Power outages were recorded in the Botlikh, Sergokalinsky, Untsukulsky, Rutulsky, Kaytagsky, Magaramkentsky, Khivsky and Suleiman-Stalsky districts of Dagestan, Interfax-Yug writes.

The department did not specify which villages were in question or how many people live in the disconnected settlements.

Work to restore power supply in the listed districts will begin at 8:00 Moscow time on September 12. The Ministry of Emergency Situations assumed that within a day it would be possible to restore electricity to all the villages without power.
