Energy assets in Ukraine and Russia have drawn attention following a recent call between Trump and Putin.

On Wednesday, both Russia and Ukraine accused each other of conducting airstrikes that started fires and destroyed infrastructure, just a few hours after their leaders had agreed to a partial ceasefire of energy facilities. The agreement was reached on Tuesday during a phone conversation between the Russian and Ukrainian presidents, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, during which Putin agreed to refrain from striking Ukraine’s energy infrastructure but refused to accept Trump’s proposal of a complete 30-day ceasefire.
