Mercer Peace River and Woodland Cree First Nation extend historic Peace River Logging partnership agreement - Pulp and Paper Canada

Mercer Peace River Pulp Ltd. (Mercer Peace River) and Woodland Cree First Nation (Woodland Cree) have entered into a historic agreement to continue the co-ownership model of Peace River Logging. The new partnership is a significant development for both sides, which helps to maintain and develop their good partnership and to further enhance the sustainable development of forestry. Therefore, by the cooperation of Mercer Peace River and Woodland Cree, one of the best logging companies in the region has been created. Mercer and Woodland Cree have owned Peace River Logging since 2004, and this new agreement continues the partnership ad infinitum and preserves the jobs of more than 80 people in the area.
